Art on Display
Kindergarten through fifth grade artwork is displayed outside the art room and in other areas of our school throughout the year. Please explore Winterfield hallways and see what your child is learning in art class! The work is accompanied by the art unit's description, visual art essential standard being taught, and literacy or writing connection.
Art Contests
Throughout the school year, there are several CMS and community art contests that students may wish to enter. All information including contest themes, specifications, and guidelines can be found outside the art room posted on the "Art Happenings" board. While I encourage students to enter contests if they wish to, I do not introduce them within the art curriculum. However, Festival in the Park (fall), Dr. Martin Luther King (winter), and Spirit Square Youth Art Month (spring) contests are three that I submit school winner's artwork
to each year.
